For this project you'll need:
Suggested materials:
* 3.5 mm crochet hook with medium-weight yarn (4/Worsted)
* Scissors

Yarn information:
For this project, I used mainly:
* Medium-weight yarn (4/Worsted) Bernat Handicrafter 100% cotton from Bernat
* Medium-weight yarn (4/Worsted) Color Craft / Soft Classic 100% acrylic from Loops & Threads
Size:
I got a finished piece measuring approximately 9~10 cm (just the base of the coaster, not counting the animal ears and features). Please keep in mind that the actual size of your finished item may change depending on your yarn tension and the materials used.

Coaster Base (same for all animals):
R1: start with a MR and ch2. 15dc in the MR, close the ring, sl st on top of the first st [15]
R2: ch2, (2dc in the same st)x15, sl st [30]
R3: ch2, (dc, 2dc in the same st)x15, sl st [45]
Cat ears:
R4: ch1, sc, hdc, {2dc}, {3tr, ch2, 3tr}, {2dc}, hdc, (sc)x5, hdc, {2dc}, {3tr, ch2, 3tr}, {2dc}, hdc.
Continue with 1sc in each st until the end of the row and sl st into the first st where you started with the chain in this row. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Dog ears:
R4: ch3, {3tr}, {3tr}, {2dc}, hdc, sl st, (sc)x5, sl st, hdc, {2dc}, {3tr}, {3tr}, ch3, sl st. Continue with 1sc in each st until the end of the row and sl st into the first st where you started with the chains in this row. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Bear ears:
R4: ch1, sc, hdc, {5dc}, hdc, (sc)x10, hdc, {5dc}, hdc. Continue with 1sc in each st until the end of the row and sl st into the first st where you started with the chain in this row. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Bunny ears:
R4: ch12, sl st into the previous st where you did the sl st from last row, then start working on the foundation chain.
Tip: I find it easier to work the next part with the right side of the chains facing outwards!
Now, from the second st from your hook, do: (sc)x4, hdc, {3dc}, {3dc}, hdc, (sc)x3, sl st into the last ch, sl st into the same st where you started the foundation chain. Continue with (sc)x3, sl st into the next st, ch12, sl st into the previous st where you did the last sl st from this row, then start working on the new foundation chain to make the second ear. From the second st from your hook: (sc)x4, hdc, {3dc}, {3dc}, hdc, (sc)x3, sl st into the last ch, sl st into the same st where you started the foundation chain. Continue with 1sc in each st until the end of the row and sl st into the first st where you started with the chains in this row. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Frog eyes:
R4: ch1, sc, hdc, {6dc}, hdc, (sl st)x5, hdc, {6dc}, hdc. Continue with 1sc in each st until the end of the row and sl st into the first st where you started with the chain in this row. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Finishing touches:
You can either use a blocking technique or sit a heavy book on top of the coasters for a while so they'll keep their flat shape.
Congratulations!!!
