My first Animal Crossing fanart commissions

My first Animal Crossing fanart commissions

In a world where boys are blue and girls are pink, dare to be the cute blue girl who loves yellow! 💛

When it comes to Animal Crossing, one character has always stood out to me as my absolute bestie: Pate. She’s not just my favourite villager; she’s also the reason I started my journey into creating Animal Crossing amigurumi. Let me take you back to where it all began.

It was during a challenging time in my life, with my family far apart, that Pate became a source of immense comfort. Whether it was her cheerful personality or her adorable design, she had a way of brightening my days when I needed it most. 🥰 That’s when I decided to turn her into a real-life, huggable bestie: amigurumi Pate - a plush version of her made entirely by hand using Balloon Amigo cotton yarn, 100% Brazilian! 🇧🇷

Making Pate was a labour of love. ❤️ Funny enough, she also taught me how to knit! I’d been struggling to get the hang of knitting until the idea struck me: wouldn’t Pate look incredible in some cozy, knitted outfits? That was all the motivation I needed to master the craft. Since then, I’ve made her a small wardrobe of adorable clothes and accessories. Every time I’m out shopping, I’m always on the lookout for furniture or props that would be perfect for Pate’s size. 😂

Pate’s journey didn’t stop there. She’s travelled with me across the Americas, becoming a little globetrotter in her own right. ✈️ Along the way, she’s had plenty of adventures, and she remains a constant reminder of how something as simple as crafting can bring so much joy.

As I shared Pate’s story and photos online, my work caught the attention of others in the Animal Crossing community. One day, someone reached out through the old Twitter platform and told me they’d found my amigurumi Pate. To my delight, Pate was their favourite villager, too! 😍 They became my very first client to commission an Animal Crossing amigurumi doll. This marked the start of an incredible journey of creating custom plushies for other fans.

That first client loved their custom Pate so much that they eventually added two more villagers to their collection: Olive and Claude. It’s been such a joy to bring these characters to life and see how much happiness they bring to others. Each doll I make carries a bit of my passion and love for the Animal Crossing universe, and knowing that they’re cherished in their new homes makes it all worthwhile.

Looking back, it’s amazing to think how much one little duck villager has influenced my life. From learning new crafting skills to connecting with a wonderful community, Pate has been at the heart of it all. Whether it’s through commissions or my own personal projects, I’m excited to continue creating and sharing my love for Animal Crossing amigurumi. ❤️

If you’ve got a favourite villager you’d love to see come to life, who knows? 🤔 Maybe I’ll get to work with you next! ☺️

I am the customer who ordered the knitted plushies of Pate, Olive, and Claude. I had never seen Animal Crossing plushies so well-made and so true to the game’s characters. They are absolutely adorable, crafted with high-quality materials and great skill. Lumy is incredibly talented, and I’m even considering ordering more plushies in the future.
