Back in 2022, I had the incredible honour of being featured on Nookpedia, the go-to fan site for all things Animal Crossing. It was a dream come true to see my work showcased on such a well-respected platform. The piece that Nookpedia highlighted was a set of amigurumi dolls I created for the characters Pate, Olive, Claude, Gaston and Filbert - fan favourites from the Animal Crossing universe.
The client - also a Pate fan - reached out to commission a peppy duck for themselves after seeing my first Pate and Filbert amigurumi dolls on Twitter. They were so excited by the little characters that they soon added Olive and Claude to the little troupe! The challenge of capturing the charm and essence of these characters in crochet form was such a fun experience, and I’m beyond thrilled that the client was excited enough to share it with Nookpedia.
Seeing my work featured on their site, among so many amazing creations by other fans, was a humbling moment. It was such a great opportunity to showcase the love and attention to detail I put into every custom commission I take on. Each of these amigurumi dolls was crafted with care, paying attention to the smallest details to ensure they truly embodied the spirit of the characters they represent.
Speaking of commissions, I’m using that cherished memory as the perfect excuse to let you know that I’ll start sharing some of my past commissions and other custom works here on the commissions blog. Not only will this be a fun way to reflect on some of my favourite projects, but it’ll also serve as a portfolio for anyone interested in seeing more of my work before commissioning something special. Whether you’re looking for unique fanart or a custom crochet piece, I hope this blog will inspire you and offer a glimpse into the passion I pour into every creation.
Thank you again to Nookpedia for featuring my work back in the day, and to all of you who continue to support my creative journey!
