Thank you for choosing my design. It was made with much love and care! I hope you enjoy it!

For this project you'll need:
Suggested materials:
* 3.5 mm crochet hook with medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) in the colours of your choice for the cat’s body and a contrasting colour for the ears and the tail
* A small piece of embroidery floss, super fine weight yarn (1/fingering) or fine weight yarn (2/Sport) for embroidering the nose and eyes
Or
* Safety eyes or buttons
* Scissors
* Tapestry needle
* Pin needles (to help attach the parts)
* Stuffing fibre
* Blush makeup (optional)
* A piece of satin ribbon to adorn the neck (optional)

Yarn information:
For this project, I used:
* Medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) Barroco Maxcolor 100% cotton from Círculo Produtos
* Fine weight yarn (2/Sport) Bella 100% cotton from Fios Pingouin

Size:
I got a finished piece measuring approximately 12 cm. Please have in mind that the actual size of your finished item may change depending on your yarn tension and the materials used. Make sure you adapt the size and placement of the eyes if you use different sizes of hook and yarn.

PATTERN (LEVEL: BEGINNER)

My abbreviations (based on US terms):
* MR - magic ring
* ST - stitch
* SL ST - slip stitch
* SC - single crochet
* INC - increase (2sc in the same st)
* DEC - decrease (sc 2 together)
* (  )xNUMBER - number of times you have to repeat everything inside the brackets
* [  ] - total number of stitches on the row

Tips:
* If you don’t know how to do one of the crochet stitches used in this pattern you can search on YouTube for “name of the stitch + tutorials” and you’ll find some super easy and detailed video tutorials for beginners.
* The rows where I don’t mention doing a chain between them are worked in continuous rounds, so it’ll be easier if you use a stitch marker to mark every last stitch from the row.

1) Head and body: (3.5 mm crochet hook / Medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) in the colour of your choice)
R1: 8sc in the MR [8]
R2: (inc)x8 [16]
R3: (sc, inc)x8 [24]
R4: (2sc, inc)x8 [32]
R5-R11 (7 rows): 1sc in each st around [32]
R12: (2sc, dec)x8 [24]
R13: (sc, dec)x8 [16]
R14: (inc)x16 [32]
R15: (inc)x4, (sc)x24, (inc)x4 [40]
R16: 1sc in each st around [40]
R17: (inc, sc)x4, (sc)x24, (inc, sc)x4 [48]
R18-R19: 1sc in each st around [48]
At this point, embroider the eyes around R9-R10 and the nose around R10-R11. Pay attention to making the cat's face in the correct position, which is the opposite side from where you have your stitch marker on. You can also use safety eyes or buttons if you prefer.
Stuff the head thoroughly with enough fibre to shape it properly. Accommodate the fibre well, pressing it with your hands to better define the whole shape.
R20: (inc, 2sc)x4, (sc)x24, (inc, 2sc)x4 [56]
R21-R23 (3 rows): 1sc in each st around [56]
R24: (5sc, dec)x8 [48]
R25: (4sc, dec)x8 [40]
R26: (3sc, dec)x8 [32]
R27: (2sc, dec)x8 [24]
R28: (sc, dec)x8 [16]
Stuff firmly the whole body.
R29: (dec)x8 [8]
Fasten off and use the yarn tail to close the hole.

2) Ears: make 2 (3.5 mm crochet hook / Medium weight yarn (4/Worsted) in a contrasting the colour of your choice)
R1: 6sc in the MR [6]
R2: (sc, inc)x3 [9]
R3: (2sc, inc)x3 [12]
R4: (sc, inc)x6 [18]
R5: (2sc, inc)x6 [24]
R6: 1sc in each st around [24]
Sl st and fasten off leaving a tail.
Flatten the ears and use the yarn tail to sew it to the head.

3) Tail: (3.5 mm crochet hook / same yarn used for the ears)
R1: 8sc in the MR [8]
R2-R30 (29 rows): 1sc in each st around [8]
Sl st and fasten off leaving a tail to sew it to the body.
Make a small stitch attaching the tip of the tail to the base of the body, so it stays in place, wrapping the cat’s body.
* The next parts are optional, so you can choose the way you like it more: with or without the paws. Please take a look at the pictures of the final results in those two versions and just sew the parts onto the body, if you like.

4) Front paws: make 2 (3.5 mm crochet hook / same yarn used for the body)
R1: 6sc in the MR [6]
R2: (inc)x6 [12]
R3-R5 (3 rows): 1sc in each st around [12]
R6: (sc, dec)x4 [8]
Sl st and fasten off leaving a tail to sew it to the body.

5) Back paws: make 2 (3.5 mm crochet hook / same yarn used for the body)
R1: 6sc in the MR [6]
R2: (inc)x6 [12]
R3-R5 (3 rows): 1 sc in each st around [12]
R6: (sc, dec)x4 [8]
R7-R8: 1sc in each st around [8]
Sl st and fasten off leaving a tail to sew it to the body.

6) Finishing touches:
Now you just have to assemble all the parts, if you haven’t yet, and apply some blush makeup to the cat’s cheeks to make it cuter. You can also tie a ribbon or a string of yarn around the neck or do a few chains and use them as a collar.

Congratulations!!!
